If you're like me you love autumn pumpkin anything...and you wish it was around all year! Pumpkin is just too good to enjoy for a few short months, right? My solution is to make this nutritious treat of a green smoothie any time! Just stock up on some organic canned pumpkin and you'll be good to go. Great for breakfast or anytime snack and done in 5 minutes or less -- you can't beat that!

Ingredients & Directions

  • 1/2 can organic pumpkin puree (homemade or canned)
  • 2 cups organic spinach (or any leafy green)
  • 1/2 frozen banana (chunks for easy blending)
  • 1 cup vanilla almond milk (or any type of milk you like)
  • 1 tsp pumpkin spice or cinnamon and nutmeg (add more or less to taste)
Blend and enjoy!

Save the remaining puree for another smoothie (don't keep in the can though, put it in a storage container) or freeze it in ice cube trays for later use.
